BuildFox is a construction project-management platform (“BuildFox,” “we,” “us”). This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to buildfox.ai, the BuildFox application at app.buildfox.ai, and messages sent through the platform.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, phone number, and company details you or your organization provide when creating or joining a workspace.
- Project data — schedules, selections, bids, purchase orders, budgets, documents, photos, and messages your organization stores in the platform.
- Contact information entered by builders — builders using BuildFox enter contact details for their subcontractors, vendors, and clients in the course of managing their projects.
- Usage information — standard technical data such as browser type and pages visited, used to operate and improve the service.
How we use information
We use information solely to provide and improve the BuildFox service: operating your workspace, delivering notifications and messages you or your organization initiate, providing support, and maintaining security. We do not sell personal information.
Text messaging (SMS)
Builders using BuildFox send and receive operational text messages with their subcontractors, vendors, and clients — schedule updates, bid requests, purchase orders, and two-way conversational replies. Recipients provide their phone numbers to the builder in the course of an active business relationship.
- No third-party sharing: mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with, sold to, or transferred to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
- Message frequency varies based on project activity.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages, or HELP for assistance.
Service providers
We use vetted service providers (such as hosting, email, and telecommunications carriers) strictly to deliver the service. These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.
Data retention and security
Project data belongs to the organization that created it and is retained while the organization’s account is active. Data is encrypted in transit, and access is restricted by role-based controls. Expired trial workspaces are permanently deleted after a grace period.
Your choices
You can update your account information in the app, opt out of text messages by replying STOP, and manage notification preferences in your settings. To request access to or deletion of your personal information, contact us at the address below.
